How to Get involved at All Saints Church

We offer a free lunch four to six times a year for folks who are new the the church so we can share who we are and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is not to sell you on All Saints Church, but to help you discern is God is calling to to be a part of our church family.  Lunch and childcare provided.
During the school year, we offer Spiritual Formation (a la “Sunday School”) classes. They will begin again on September 11, 2016. Children have their own class at the same time.
We offer a 4-week Membership Class twice a year. You can begin the membership process that runs from October- November or the session that runs from April-May. These classes typically last 1 1/2 hours, include lunch and childcare, and happen right after the 10am service. For more information, please contact Thomas at Thomas@allsaints-chd.org.
Confirmation process involves a 8 weeks class beginning every January.

The rite of Confirmation includes laying on of hands by a bishop together with anointing with oil and the sign of the cross and prayer for the coming of the Holy Spirit.

There was a time in Anglicanism when both Baptism and Confirmation were required for admission to the Lord’s Table. However, the church has rightly re-affirmed the New Testament witness that Baptism alone joins a person to the Church.

Today, Confirmation serves two primary purposes.
For those baptized in infancy, it is an opportunity to make a public profession of faith. The candidate for confirmation “confirms” for themselves the profession of faith made on their behalf at their baptism.

Confirmation also serves as the ordination service for the people of God. The ordination of bishops, priests, and deacons always includes the invocation of the Holy Spirit. Likewise, at confirmation the bishops lays hands on the candidate and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” These invocation is not a suggestion that the Spirit has heretofore been absent from the candidate. Rather, it is an appeal for the giving, awakening, stirring of the Spirit, and for the giving, awakening, and stirring of spiritual gifts for service in Christ’s Church.

There are a lot of opportunities to use your gifts and be an active member of this body of Christ.
