Confirmation & Membership Process at ASC

Membership and confirmation

Are you interested in joining All Saints or becoming confirmed in the Anglican Church? For however long you plan to be in this area and worshipping at our church, we’d love to have you join us! In order to join, we invite you to attend a Confirmation/Membership Class, which has two modules— one during the spring, and another during the fall. Each module will contain five classes. The classes will cover the following topics:

  • Our spiritual autobiographies and the DNA of All Saints Church

  • Learning to pray by using the Lord’s Prayer

  • Distinctives of the Anglican Tradition

  • The Christian Creeds and Thinking Theologically

  • The Role of Scripture in the life of the Church and the believer

As a member, you get to vote at our Annual Meetings, stand for Vestry or serve as a Synod Delegate. You can be a member of All Saints without being an Anglican (although, we ask anyone serving on Vestry or serving as a Synod Delegate to be confirmed, or in the process of getting confirmed).

In addition to preparing you for church membership, this class will also prepare you for confirmation. Typically, the Bishop comes to All Saints around All Saints Day (early November) and during that visit, we have confirmations. If you have been confirmed in another apostolic tradition (Catholic, Episcopal, etc.) and wish to become Anglican, you follow the same process as listed above, but in recognizing your previous confirmation as valid, we “receive” you into the Anglican Church. Once you are confirmed or received, you are automatically considered a member of All Saints Church.

If you were to complete this process, and choose to join All Saints, but not be confirmed, and then later decide to be confirmed, you do not need to repeat this class.

The next module will begin on Sunday, February 9th, and will conclude on Sunday, March 9th. The first class (on 2/9/25) will take place over lunch after the 11 am service. The following four classes will take place during the 11 am service.
